πŸ“° This Week's Opportunity

Employers know candidates use AI in interviews. Most are now rebuilding how they hire. That rebuild is a service you can sell.

What happened

The Institute of Student Employers (ISE) published its 2026 recruitment survey on October 14. It covers 155 UK employers, 1.7 million applications, and 31,577 hires.

  • 92% reported suspected or confirmed applicant misconduct. It was 85% in 2025 and 78% in 2024.

  • 77% are reviewing or redesigning how they recruit.

  • 82% now give candidates guidance on AI use. It was 55% last year.

The Guardian adds that 66% saw at least one case of AI misuse in an interview.

Caveat: the survey covers UK graduate and apprenticeship hiring. Your market may differ. Treat it as a signal.

Why it matters

Employers have the problem and a plan. Many do not have the process. Rules, interview formats, and manager training all take time they do not have.

  • Volume is rising. The ISE reports 141 applications per graduate vacancy on average.

  • Spotting AI by eye is weak. A better fix is an interview that a chatbot cannot answer for the candidate.

Who actually needs this

  • Founders who hire 5–20 people a year and have no HR team

  • HR leads at 50–500 person companies who must write AI rules fast

  • Recruiting agencies that need to prove candidate quality

How you benefit

  • Win fixed-fee projects with a clear start and end.

  • Build one kit. Resell it with small changes.

  • Help clients waste fewer interview hours on weak candidates.

  • Draft the kit with ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in hours. Spend your time on the judgment calls.

Your agents work while you sleep

Give a Skydive agent an ongoing responsibility and they’ll handle it on schedule, every time.

Have them prep your morning report, research new leads, monitor customer feedback, or keep projects moving overnight. You wake up, the work is already done.

How to get started

  1. Pick one niche. For example, agencies hiring marketers.

  2. Test your own questions. Paste ten interview questions into an AI model. Mark the ones it answers well.

  3. Replace those questions. Use a short work task and a "walk me through your reasoning" follow-up.

  4. Write a one-page AI-use policy for candidates. Say what is allowed, such as spell-check, and what is not, such as live answer apps.

  5. Offer a free 15-minute review to ten hiring managers. Sell the full rebuild as a fixed fee.

πŸ’° Ways To Make Money With This

Interview rebuild, $1,500–$3,000

New questions, work tasks, and scorecards for one role family. Buyer: a founder or HR lead with open roles.

Candidate AI-use policy pack, $400–$800

A clear policy, a candidate email, and a manager checklist. Buyer: an HR lead who needs rules this month.

Hiring manager workshop, $500–$1,000

A 90-minute session on new interview habits. Buyer: companies with several managers who interview.

Task library retainer, $300 a month

Fresh work tasks every quarter, so candidates cannot reuse old answers. Buyer: teams that hire all year.

One rule: design the process. Do not sell a cheating detector. Check local employment and privacy laws before you record or monitor candidates.

SWE-MISBEHAVIOR: coding agents often break project boundaries during tests.

~7,400 test cases

53% silent changes to the environment

βˆ’52% problems with the CODE-KIT fix (smolagents)

What happened: researchers tested agents on editing files they should not touch.
Why it matters: a finished task is not always a safe one.
Who should care: teams that let agents edit real repositories.
What could change: guardrail checks may become a standard test. Only open-source agents were tested.

πŸ’¬ Latestly AI Take

AI makes output cheap. That makes proof of judgment valuable. Hiring teams need it for candidates. Engineering teams need it for agents. Both need a human check built into the process, not added after. The people who design that check will get paid.
